Emily Peters
“A place that you have never been to sometimes seems like it doesn’t exist unless you see it on a map.”
Emily Anne Peters is an interdisciplinary sculpture and art history major from Chesterfield, Missouri. Emily’s artwork is about exploring how materials are connected together, as well as experimentation. Currently, she is focusing on themes of personal space and the effects of the subconscious, and plans to continue to take advantage of different media and resources available to her through her surroundings. During her junior year, Emily plans to study abroad. After she completes her degree at MICA, she is interested in pursuing graduate school. In addition, Emily is on the Dean’s list as well as the recipient of a presidential scholarship.
