Exhibition Development Seminar: Education
Elena Rosemond
“Maps can be beautiful things. But, if you misread them, they can land you 100 blocks east of the burrito you were aiming for.”
Elena Rosemond is a senior photography and books arts major from Durham, North Carolina. Her studio work focuses on her relationship with the ocean and the influence of water in her life. Elena is the recipient of several juried undergraduate scholarships, and has standing on the Dean’s list. Through ongoing work with AmeriCorps, her internship at the Maryland Historical Society, and her contribution to the exhibition At Freedom’s Door: Challenging Slavery in Maryland, Elena has shown a consistent dedication to community service. She plans to further her community-based interests by traveling with the Peace Corps to the Caribbean in 2008, and ultimately pursuing a masters degree in museum education.
