Exhibition Development Seminar: Education
Our function as a team serves to educate the public about the exhibition Beyond the Compass, Beyond the Square. Our continuing effort is to accommodate all possible viewers attending this exhibition with enjoyable programs in an atmosphere that welcomes all participants to interact with the artwork and the artists themselves. Our work is also important in encouraging discussions of the work in other educational institutions by providing educational materials such as lesson plans to school teachers and having artist and team member guided tours. The education team strives to celebrate the ideas addressing mapping in the Walters special exhibition Maps: Finding Your Place in the World and Beyond the Compass, Beyond the Square, in doing this educational programs provide all visitors an opportunity to further examine concepts and themes of correlating issues revolved around the idea of mapping.
