Join MICA and the Walters Art Museum to celebrate mapping from around the world. The evening includes free refreshments, performances by musicians with global and local flair, antiquity conservation demonstrations by the Walters’ staff, and tours of exhibitions Beyond the Compass, Beyond the Square and Maps: Finding Our Place in the World.

Visit the Walters after-hours to experience exhibitions organized by MICA, Walters Art Museum, and Art on Purpose. Student-led tours will be offered for Beyond the Compass, Beyond the Square in conjunction with tours of Maps: Finding Our Place in the World and Maps on Purpose. Also, enjoy performances by award-winning choreographer Nancy Romita and her dance collective.

On the morning of March 29th 2008 communities will be gathering at four starting points in Baltimore City to participate in a productive and symbolic action, sweeping the debris of the sidewalks towards the center of the city. We will be accompanied by four local marching bands, creating a driving energy to celebrate a collective effort in BMORE.
