National Portfolio Day in New York, hosted by MICA

MICA will host the 2011 National Portfolio Day in New York City on Sunday, November 13, 2011.  The event will be held from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, Hall 1B.

National Portfolio Day is an opportunity to meet representatives from institutions offering professional programs accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.  Many of the nation's leading colleges and universities will travel to the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center to meet with students, review their artwork and share information regarding their programs of study and admission requirements.

All National Portfolio Day events are free, open to the public and do not require student pre-registration.  For those who plan to attend and would like to register their attendance in advance, we are offering an OPTIONAL online pre-registration option.  Completion of this online registration form will allow you to expedite the check in process more efficiently on the day of the event (Sunday, November 13, 2011).  There is a limit to one registration per student and students are required to bring a printed copy of their email confirmation with them on the day of the event.   

On-site registration will open for students at 10:00 AM on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, Hall 1B.  For more information about how to attend a National Portfolio Day, please refer to the National Portfolio Day Association website: www.portfolioday.net

Portfolio Reviews with colleges are held on a first-come, first-serve basis and some colleges may have a longer wait time depending on the length of thier individual line.  Students who complete pre-registration and day-of registration are subject to a wait time based on the insitution or college they plan to see.
