Staff in the Technology Resource Lab are available to assist faculty with scanning, one-on-one training, presentations, and new technologies. Training can range from basic operating system tutorials, to operating the 3D scanner and haptic pen, and even basic introduction in Adobe CS4, Powerpoint and Keynote, and other professional grade applications. Staffing in the Lab is comprised of MICA students who are very knowledgeable in hardware and software that faculty will typically need to have skills in.

The lab is fully equipped with:

• 6 Macintosh Computers
• 1 Dell Computer
• 1 Grant Research Workstation
• 7 Flatbed Scanners
• 1 Slide Scanner
• 1 Color Laserjet Printer
• 1 3D Haptic Stylus
• 1 Nextengine 3D Scanner
• 1 LCD Projector System

If you are interested in learning more about this equipment, or any of the equipment in the Art Tech Center like the 3D printer, laser cutters, wide format 2D printers, stencil cutter, or would like to set up an appointment for training, please call the Helpdesk at x.2201 or email at help@mica.edu. If the lab door is locked, the keypad number for the front door is 4 - 2 - 5 - ENTER.
