Upcoming Staff Enrichment Council Events

The Staff Enrichment Council is pleased to announce a new program beginning in January 2014: The Staff Reading Initiative!

The goal of this program is for interested staff to read a common book over the course of a semester, then meet to discuss the book and any ideas that the reading has brought up. Additional materials such as dicussion questions, links to interviews with the author, and related readings and videos will be distributed throughout the semester. We want to hear from you! May 28, 3:00-4:00PM in Main 110: Book discussion with refreshments

June 11, 3:00-4:00PM in Brown 320: Lecture and Q&A with the author! Hear what Wes Moore has to say about his book and his recent projects.

· Ten copies of this book are on reserve in MICA's Decker Library. Please bring your MICA ID card with you to check out a copy.

Bocce Tournament & Ice Cream Social

Wednesday, June 18th, noon-2pm, Cohen Plaza

All staff on deck! Join us for a new event. Individuals and departments are encouraged to form teams of four or more to compete in this fun one day bocce event. But wait, there is more! We are combining this with our annual SEC Ice Cream Social. Register to play or show up to watch and enjoy the ice cream and sorbet. 

MICA Staff at the BSO

Friday, June 6 at 8:00 p.m.

We have an exciting new opportunity! Discounted tickets for designated BSO performances/events! Our first event: Beethoven's Ninth. Tickets will cost: $23 for Terrace seats and $26 for orchestra. We will need a minimum number of participants to make this discount a reality. Please via email let us know if you care to attend. Once we have a count, you may purchase tickets directly through the BSO's ticket office. Read more about the event.
