Texts selected for presentation should meet the following criteria:
- Address a topic or issue that connects in a significant way to a collection or grouping of texts addressing a set of interrelated topics or issues
- Support a dynamic conversation between convening attendees as part of a theme-based work session
- Demonstrate far-reaching ramifications to the field by offering new information and/or promoting specific actions that grow or enhance the field
- Promote and/or inform certain "next steps." In other words, each selected text advocates for a certain agenda or action
- Communicate clearly (i.e., possess real coherency, articulate clearly-stated ideas, and promote tangible outcomes)
- Offer ability to be enhanced in breadth and depth as Round II texts
- Represent ethnic, regional, and community diversity.
