This four-week program offers students an opportunity to immerse themselves in college-level studio classes while residing on MICA’s campus with other young artists and designers from around the country and around the world.
Students participating in this program earn 3 credits. The rigorous curriculum allows students to choose among a variety of disciplines including figure painting, graphic design, sculpture, black and white photography, digital photography, 3D gaming and animation, illustration, fiber, architecture, and video.
Located in the heart of the East Coast art corridor, MICA Pre-College students enjoy field trips to Washington, D.C. and New York City where they explore contemporary art and notable masterpieces at galleries and museums. The dates for the Baltimore Pre-College Studio Residency are June 26 – July 24, 2010.
