International Student Orientation

International students must attend International Student Orientation. Please remember to bring your I-20, I-94 card, passport and visa with you to International Student Orientation!

International Student Orientation, Fall 2014

International Students are required to attend International Student Orientation in addition to either Freshman, Transfer or Graduate student orientation.

Undergraduate Students

Wednesday, August 27 Undergraduate  International Student On-Campus Housing Move-in;

  • 9am-5pm: On-campus housing move in and orientation check-in -  arrive at your residence hall
  • TBD: Shuttle buses to Target department store - depart from outside Latrobe House
  • 5pm: Orientation welcome dinner -in the Meyerhoff Dining Room (bring your family!)
  • 6pm: MICA Insiders: International Student Experiences - in Leake Lecture hall
  • 7:30: Movie Night - in Leake Lecture Hall

Thursday, August 28, 2014: International Student Orientation, 8am in BBox, Gateway

  • 8am: Breakfast - in BBox, Gateway
  • 8:30am: Welcome to MICA - in BBox, Gateway
  • 9am: Transitioning to MICA - in BBox, Gateway
  • 10:30am: The F-1 Visa: What you need to know - in BBox, Gateway
  • 11:30am: Health and Wellness at MICA - in BBox, Gateway
  • 12:30pm: Lunch (tickets available for $10/person) - in Founder's Green Tent
  • 1:30pm: Resource Fair - in Brown Center
  • 2:30pm:Mandatory English Language Assessment - in Bunting, fourth floor
  • 5:00pm: Dinner (tickets available for $10/person) - in Meyerhoff Dining Room
  • 6:00pm: Orientation Group Welcome - in Founder's Green Tent

Graduate Students

NOTE: Please bring your passport and I-20 to International Student orientation!
