Program Schedule

Residencies

  • Residency I will be a program orientation as well as technical workshops and lectures.
  • Residencies II will be more intensive programming with potential team-based projects and lectures.
  • Residency III will be when students make final project presentations.

Intensives

  • Intensive I: Introduction to Information Visualization
  • Intensive II: Information Visualization Project

Sessions

  • Sessions in the first half of the program consist of two (2) classes each for two (2) credits
  • Sessions in the second half of program consist of one (1) class with three (3) credits
  • 30 contact hours/course/session for two (2) credit courses
  • 40 contact hours/course/session for three (3) credit courses
  • 3.75 hours/course/week of contact hours for two (2) credit classes
  • 5 hours/course/week of contact hours for three (3) credit classes
  • Each course is a mixture of both asynchronous and synchronous learning
