Student Resources

Students in this program have access to an array of resources at both MICA and JHU, including:

  • The historic Globe Poster Collection and expanded print facility at MICA, which offers the opportunity to learn about traditional printing practices as well as how to employ contemporary methods to preserve similar materials and collections.
  • JHU's George Peabody Library, which houses more than 300,000 volumes from the 18th and 19th century, as well as 3,000 rare books and manuscripts from the 14th through the 17th centuries, and travel journals and large maps housed in the Rare Books and Manuscript seminar room.
  • JHU's extensive facilities for book and paper conservation. These resources along with other rich paper collections provide the groundwork of the program and research opportunities for students.
