Continuing Studies
A rich selection and varied schedule make Continuing Studies accessible for all who are interested in pursuing the study of art at Maryland Institute College of Art. You'll find long and short-term courses in graphic and digital design & illustration, interior design, fine arts, photography, and certificates in creative entrepreneurship and jewelry. We also offer travel programs to Greece, Italy, Canada, France, South Korea, and Jamaica -- beautiful settings for art-making inspiration, courses and programs for young people, and pre-college opportunities for serious high school students. Check inside the site for more details.
A limited amount of financial aid is available for Young People's classes and students enrolled in the continuing studies certificate programs.
Continuing Studies students enrolled in a certificate program should write a letter to the Associate Dean of Continuing Studies to ascertain the availability of scholarship opportunities. The letter must state the reason for interest, goals the student hopes to attain, class of interest, reason for need, area of residence, and provide one letter of recommendation describing the student's merit.
Each term a limited number of partial tuition scholarships for students in exceptional circumstances are awarded directly by the Division of Continuing Studies. To inquire about Scholarships, call 410-225-2371.
