Join us for a day of community service in Baltimore City! MICA students will work with the Living Classrooms Foundation to complete a variety of service projects, including mural painting, design work and wetlands clean-up. Please dress in activewear that you don't mind getting a bit muddy or paint splattered (no flip-flops please, closed toed shoes only). Lunch will be provided.

This is your chance to get off campus, learn more about Baltimore and help serve a great cause while interacting with fellow MICAns! What a great way to spend a Saturday!

If you are interested in participating, you can sign up outside the Student Activities Office during Orientation or the first week of class. The event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009. (You will meet outside the Meyerhoff House at 9:15 a.m. that day and will return to MICA by 3:30 p.m.).

The Living Classrooms Foundation headquarters is located in historic Fells Point. It is a non-profit organization, operated for the benefit of the community at large, providing hands-on education and job skills training for students from diverse backgrounds, with a special emphasis on at-risk youth.
