Summer at the Decker Library brings a new set of Artist Books on display in the upper level cases, created by students in Laurie Snyder's class in Spring 2009. The pieces combine a plethora of materials and techniques, themes and imagery, in a wide range of formats that have the book form as a reference point.
Students with works on display:
Courtney Ay ~ Rachel Brown ~ Nikki Chambers ~ Nicolette Cornelius ~ Monique Crabb ~ Tara Dahabsu ~ Erica E. Fletcher ~ Kottie Gaydos ~ Michelle Ghiotti ~ Heather Goad ~ Jenna Kaminsky ~ Andy Mangold ~ Claire Mueller ~ Sophia Park ~ Kallie Parrish ~ Lauren Trautvetter ~ Caroline Van Sicklin
On display in the lower level case are selections from the Library's collection of Black Sparrow Press titles. Most striking among these are two books by Charles Bukowski: Heat Wave, with original serigraphs by Kenneth Price, and There's No Business, illustrated by R. Crumb.
