With deep regret, the Parent and Family Weekend scheduled for Friday, February 12- Monday, February 15 has been canceled due to ongoing inclement weather and resulting travel difficulties.

As I'm sure most of you are aware, the Baltimore area experienced a major snowstorm over the weekend, and another major storm is expected today. Although MICA opened today, the College will be closed tomorrow and may continue to be closed later this week. Unfortunately, due to the condition of the campus, limited access to highways and city streets, and the unpredictability of air travel in and out of the area, we have regretfully concluded that we cannot host an enjoyable event this year. Although this year's event will not be rescheduled, we look forward as always to seeing you next year. More information will be coming to you early next week via email from the Student Activities Office regarding refunds of your registration fee. Thank you for your patience as we navigate this process.

MICA staff is working hard to support a limited number of activities for students on campus despite the inclement weather, and we will do our absolute best to open for classes when conditions exist for us to do so safely.

We ask that students help to ensure that parents and family members are notified. Inclement weather related status updates will continue to be posted at mica.edu. Please be safe and cautious as we navigate through this weather event.
