Course explores creative entrepreneurship
Artists are emerging as authors and entrepreneurs in a variety of new markets and media. The work in the exhibition, One Good Idea--on view Wednesday, Jan. 20 through Wednesdya, Feb. 3 in the Fox Building's Illustration Gallery, third floor--represents three years of the illustration department course The Lab. In this course, students have realized a project of their choice with 25 prototyped samples of their One Good Idea. They also learned how to promote their creative expressions, build a "creative brief," research fabricating costs and learn if this Good Idea is worth pursuing further. The class motto is "Conceive, Articulate, Create, Fabricate & Disseminate!"
