MICA Student Leadership Retreat
Saturday, Jan. 30: 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
What is it and who will be there?
The Leadership Retreat is a one-day leadership development opportunity for new student leaders, as well as students interested in getting involved.
MICA student leaders from student organizations, departments, student government, and residence communities will gather as one community. This retreat is primarily geared toward freshmen and sophomores, but juniors and seniors are welcome to attend. The event will be held in the Main Building and is free for students (includes breakfast and lunch).
What will happen at the retreat?
The goal of the retreat is to help students recognize, develop, and strengthen their leadership skills. It is also a great opportunity to network with other MICA students. The retreat will include workshops presented by staff and senior student leaders as well as opportunities for participants to network and learn from one another. Topics to be addressed will include:
- What is leadership?
- Personal Leadership Styles
- Personal Action Planning
- And more!
