Inna Alesina's Object Design Studio class, which develops toys and other educational objects specifically with safety in mind, is testing the toys with children and their families at Port Discovery Children's Museum on Friday, Dec. 11. The class, in the College's Environmental Design department, collaborated with MICA's Center for Design Practice, which is involved in CARES Mobile Safety Center by the Center for Injury Research and Policy, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. The CARES initiative is designed to educate families in Baltimore about home safety.
For more information on the MICA Toy Testing event at Port Discovery Children's Museum (35 Market Place), visit portdiscovery.org or call 410-727-8120. Admission is $12.95.
