Winning in the institutional category, Sherman's work will be displayed in the third of the three-part Annual Exhibition: Illustrators 53 show at the Museum of American Illustration at the Society of Illustrators, Wednesday, Feb. 23-Saturday, March 19, 2011. An opening reception will be held Friday, March 4.
The institutional category consists of work appearing on merchandise, announcements, annual reports, calendars, corporate projects, government services projects, greeting cards, newsletters, in-house publications, philatelic work and collectibles. From the 341 entries in this category, 74 were chosen this year.
"Now in its 53rd year, the Annual Exhibition is the premier international showcase for illustrators," said Anelle Miller, director of the Society of Illustrators. "We're honored to host this remarkable event, which celebrates the most outstanding illustrative works created by our colleagues in the past year."
