Illustration and foundation faculty member Warren Linn created the artwork for the cover and an inside story in the November issue of Urbanite magazine. Both the issue theme The Modern Family, in an age of upheaval, reweaving the ties that bind and the article by Shawn Spence Tending the Family Tree "lent themselves to an eclectic collage interpretation," said Linn.
In the midst of the back and forth between publisher, editors and art director, Creative Director Alex Castro suggested that for the cover "think Picasso Harlequins." To credit referencing the two Picasso children, Linn signed the cover W Linn Picasso.
