The Charm City Circulator is starting a Purple Route on Monday, June 7, that will take riders on a long north-south loop from Penn Station to Federal Hill. Kick-off events are being held Monday, June 7 at 10 a.m at Cross Street Market in Federal Hilland at 11 a.m. at Penn Station.
This free bus service runs from Penn Station to the Cross Street Market in Federal Hill along Charles Street (North) and St. Paul Street (South). It connects to the Orange Line that runs East/West along Pratt and Lombard Streets from Canton to the B&O Museum. The buses on both sides run every 10 minutes.
"This will be a great way for all of us and especially our students to travel around Baltimore at no cost," MICA President Fred Lazarus said. "The more it is used, the more assured its future is."
