What are you up to on Saturday, March 6? Nothing, you say? Well, why don't you come on down and join Student Activities on a trip to Philadelphia! Head on over to Philly to visit the many museums the city of brotherly love has to offer. The city's major art museum, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, is one of the largest art museums in the United States and features the steps made popular by the film Rocky. Interested in fiber? Check out The Fabric Workshop and Museum. Want to see a piece of tissue removed from the thorax of Abraham Lincoln's assassin or the conjoined liver from the famous Siamese twins Chang and Eng Bunker? Walk on over to the Mütter Museum. Don't feel like checking out the museums? Shop along South Street, grab a Philly cheesesteak, or even dare your friend to lick the Liberty Bell. It's sure to be a fun-packed day.
Tickets are non-refundable and are $10 at the MICA Store. Meet in front of the Main Building at 8:45 a.m., as bus will depart at 9 a.m. sharp. Bus departs Philly at 6 p.m. sharp from the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
