Do you miss your pet? Do you love animals? Want to volunteer? The Baltimore Humane Society wants you! Visit their table outside the Meyerhoff from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8 for adoption and volunteer information. There will be puppies to play with!

You may be wondering, "How can I volunteer with the Baltimore Humane Society?" Well, just come to DogFest 2009! The Office of Residence Life and Student Activities are sponsoring a trip to this day of fun games, contests and enjoyment for people and their pets. MICA students can help volunteer with games, contests, pet paw painting or drawing caricatures of people and their pets.

Thousands of people from all over Baltimore brought their dogs to this event last year, and this year horses and other animals will be included. This is an event you won't want to miss.

Students can sign up to volunteer outside of Student Activities, or at the Humane Society's table on Oct. 8.
