M.A. in Art Education Director Sharon Johnson has been selected by her peers to receive the National Art Education Association's (NAEA) Eastern Region Higher Education Art Educator of the Year Award, given to her at the 2011 NAEA National Convention in Seattle on March 12-20.

Two other honors for MICA community members will be awarded at the national convention. Vanessa Lopez-Sparaco '07 (M.A. in Art Education) has been selected as this year's recipient of the Eastern Middle Level Art Educator of the Year Award, and September L.
