Named Endowed Scholarships, Fellowships, & Awards

Being an artist has opened many doors for my future. As a student at MICA, I am able to work alongside other amazing students who share this great passion for art My scholarships are an honor, encouragement, and extra motivation. They greatly benefit my academic and artistic goals as a student at Maryland Institute College of Art.

A scholarship endowment provides a perpetual scholarship, awarded to generations of MICA students through funds invested and managed by the College. Each year, a portion of the earned interest is awarded as a scholarship to a student or students.

Named endowed scholarships can be created with a gift of $50,000 or more, payable over five years. You may also establish a scholarship or augment an existing scholarship through a bequest in your will. For more information on bequest giving, click here.

The donor and the College agree on the general criteria for the scholarship. Some criteria the donor may want to consider include academic merit, financial need, or field of interest. To see a list of current named endowed scholarships, click here.

Scholarship donors receive a thank you letter from their scholarship student and are given the opportunity to meet the student at an annual campus event.
