A scholarship endowment provides a perpetual scholarship, awarded to generations of MICA students through funds invested and managed by the College. Each year, a portion of the earned interest is awarded as a scholarship to a student or students.
Named endowed scholarships can be created with a gift of $50,000 or more, payable over five years. You may also establish a scholarship or augment an existing scholarship through a bequest in your will. For more information on bequest giving, click here.
The donor and the College agree on the general criteria for the scholarship. Some criteria the donor may want to consider include academic merit, financial need, or field of interest.
Scholarship donors receive a thank you letter from their scholarship student and are given the opportunity to meet the student at an annual campus event. Click here to see photos from our 2012 Scholarship Reception, Opening Doors.
