Annual Scholarships

"It's hard to express how much this scholarship means to me.  MICA offers a very flexible curriculum that gives me opportunities to try new and exciting things that can enrich my art.  I can't remember a time when art hasn't been the dominant force in my life, and I have been so fortunate and lucky to have friends, a family, and many others who support and encourage the things that I'm most passionate about. There are many opportunities for creating a named scholarship at MICA.

Named annual scholarships can be created with a gift of $2,500 or more per year. A donor provides the funds through one or more donations each year. Many donors pledge to renew their gift annually for a term of years to ensure the scholarship's ongoing impact.

The donor and the College agree on an appropriate name and the general criteria for the scholarship. Some criteria the donor may want to consider include academic merit, financial need, or field of interest.

Scholarship donors receive thank you letters from their scholarship students and are given the opportunity to meet the student at an annual campus event.  Click here to see photos from our 2012 Scholarship Reception, Opening Doors.
