Fashion is alive. It's always moving as people move and change with it. It shapes our society and how people view each other. We choose the clothes we wear because it expresses who we are. Fashion is also a container to differentiate our skin from the environment. It is a thin layer of protection, our second skin. This line is inspired by Gareth Pugh's fall collection of 2010 and 2011, and various knitted sculptures by other artists. For this line, we have focused on the concept of creating sculptural pieces to distort the figure. The three words that define the line are: distortion, illusion and juxtaposition. The aesthetic objective of our line is to depict the juxtaposition of the architectural embodiment of leather, and the organic structure of knit. Through this juxtaposition, we hope to create a deformation of the body; a fashion that goes beyond the body.
