Natalie Ebaugh is a textile artist who learned to sew at a young age. Raised in Portland, Oregon, she followed her interest in textiles to Baltimore, Maryland to attend the Maryland Institute College of Art. Throughout her career at MICA, Natalie has explored her love of textiles, soft sculpture, quilting techniques and garment making.
Inspired by pop culture images and music from the 1980's and 90's, Natalie explores the colors and patterns of found fabrics, as well as creating her own digital fabric designs. Natalie's line is a reflection of her ongoing investigation of textiles through the manipulation of found clothing with over-dye and shibori techniques, quilting of fabric scraps and applique. She will be graduating from MICA in Spring 2012 and plans to continue the development of her handmade clothing and accessories brand.
