About Jasmine

Jasmine cindyJasmine Cindy grew up in Boston, Massachusetts. She is a senior at the Maryland Institute College of Art, set to graduate in December 2013 with a BFA in Fiber and a minor in Creative Writing.

About Grip

GRIP explores the desire for security and community in precarious and uncertain times through a series of garments that both shelter and burden the wearer. This collection combines fabrics associated with domesticity and comfort, like blankets, with provisional materials suggestive of disaster and calamity, like plastic refuse, sand, and tarps.
