Skye Gilkerson

Invited was organized by MICA's M.F.A. in Curatorial Practice and will feature site-specific artworks by local and international artists in 10 Station North businesses, as well as a celebratory-themed gallery show in MICA's newly renovated Studio Center Sheila & Richard Riggs and Leidy Galleries.

Skye Gilkerson

Skye Gilkerson's work has been shown in exhibitions across the United States, including Samsøn Projects in Boston, Temple University Gallery in Philadelphia and the DUMBO Arts Festival in New York. Gilkerson was named a 2011 Trawick Prize Finalist, and she has been recognized with a first place award from the Majestic Gallery, Ohio, and a Ruth and Harold Chenven Foundation grant. She has received artist residency grants from the Detroit Symphony Orchestra; the Anderson Ranch Arts Center, Colo.; the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts, Neb.; and the Philadelphia Art Hotel. Skye earned her M.F.A. from the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan.
