Kwantaeck Park

Invited was organized by MICA's M.F.A. in Curatorial Practice and will feature site-specific artworks by local and international artists in 10 Station North businesses, as well as a celebratory-themed gallery show in MICA's newly renovated Studio Center Sheila & Richard Riggs and Leidy Galleries.

Kwantaeck Park

New York-based Kwantaeck Park was born in Seoul, South Korea. Park's work is interdisciplinary, using such media as photography, video, installation and performance. He is interested in history and the interaction between individual life and the system of civilization. His work has been shown in the United States and South Korea at venues, including the Chelsea Art Museum, N.Y.; CAIS Gallery Seoul; and Gallery Light Box, Seoul. He is currently an M.F.A. candidate at the School of Visual Arts in New York and was recently awarded a residency at the Philadelphia Art Hotel. He received an M.F.A. and a B.F.A. from Seoul National University.
