Cindy Stauffer ’15 (fiber) and Miki Flores ’15 (interdisciplinary sculpture) – Exoskeleton
Exoskeleton is an exploration of bringing armor from the dark ages into modern times through the utilization of metal, modern fabric and abstract silhouettes. The collection is mainly inspired by the aesthetic of Japanese armor. It takes common motifs found in armor and repurposes them into a modern era, shown by the combination of these age-old metals with modern fibers.
