On Thursday, August 27th, there will be directional signs, orientation leaders, and campus safety officers directing traffic flow to the Orientation and College-Housing Check-in locations.
Getting to MICA
Please follow these directions. If you use Google Maps (maps.google.com) or other directions, please know that when you arrive on the MICA campus, you will need to follow the traffic directional signs provided by the College. This will make the move-in process more efficient for everyone.

From the New Jersey Turnpike and Points North
- Take Interstate 95 south to exit 64B
- Bear right onto Interstate 695 west, Towson
(Do not bear left to Baltimore via I-95) - Continue on 695 west to Exit 23
- Interstate 83 south, Baltimore
- Take I-83 to exit 6, North Avenue/Mount Royal Avenue.
(Exit ramp becomes Mount Royal Avenue.) - Stay in right lane of exit ramp, and cross North Avenue.
- Continue through campus on Mount Royal Avenue, and turn right on W. Lanvale Street
- Proceed two city blocks and turn right onto Park Avenue
- Follow MICA signs to the Orientation and college housing check-in
From Washington, D.C. and Points South
- Approach Baltimore on Interstate 95 north
- Follow Baltimore Downtown signs to exit 53 for I-395 N. Do not take tunnel exit.
- Take 395 north and follow for about one-half mile to Inner Harbor/Conway Street exit.
- Bear right onto Conway Street to Charles Street.
- Turn left on Charles Street and go about two miles to Mount Royal Avenue.
- Proceed two city blocks and turn right onto Park Avenue
- Follow MICA signs to the Orientation and college housing check-in
From Pennsylvania and Points West
- Take Interstate 70 east
- Take exit 91A-B to merge onto Baltimore Beltway Inner Loop/I-695 N toward I-95 N/Towson/New York.
- Exit 23A to Interstate 83 south toward Baltimore.
- Take I-83 to exit 6, North Avenue/Mount Royal Avenue (exit ramp becomes Mount Royal Avenue).
- Stay in right lane of exit ramp, and cross North Avenue.
- Continue through campus on Mount Royal Avenue, and turn right on W. Lanvale Street

From Baltimore/Washington International Airport
You can get to campus from Baltimore/Washington International Airport using light rail service (take light rail North toward Hunt Valley and take this to the Univ. of Balto./Mt. Royal stop). - From airport, head toward I-195 W (signs for I-195 W/Airport exit)
- Take exit 2A to merge onto Baltimore Washington Pkway N/MD-295 N toward I-695/Baltimore. Continue on MD-295 N for about 8.5 miles
- Continue on N Paca St. (you will need to take a slight left to stay on N Paca St)
- Continue on Mcculloh St for half a mile
- Turn right on W. Lafayette Ave
- Turn left on Park Avenue
- Follow MICA signs to the Orientation and college housing check-in
