A special orientation program for parents of new and transfer students will be held on Thursday, August 23, at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm in Falvey Hall, Brown Center. At these sessions, we will discuss what your family can expect during your first year at MICA, and we'll address questions regarding student life and curricular issues.There will also be a Diversity & Intercultural Development Welcome session at 1:00 pm.
At 2:00 pm, an Understanding Physical and Mental Health Services at MICA session will take place, where medical and mental-health services offered at MICA as well as leaves of absences (medical or other) will be discussed.
And lastly, at 3pm you will have a chance to hear from our Residence Life staff at the Home Away from Home: Residential Living at MICA session.
You will be asked to say goodbye to your student by 5:30 pm, but you are invited to join us immediately for a Parent & Family Welcome Reception, sponsored by the Parent's Council, in the Gateway Residence Hall. Check out the resources in this section to learn more!
