Faculty Reservation Requests
Faculty who would like to send a class on a NYC or Philly trip must fill out the Student Activities Bus Reservation Form and return it to Student Activities at least four weeks prior to the trip. Reservations are made on a first come first serve basis. We will hold up to 15 seats for your students until two days before the trip, at which point we make all remaining seats available to the general community for purchase. Due to the high number of reservations, there is a limit of two reservations per faculty, per semester.
Please note the that the following cancellation policy is in effect: There will be a departmental charge of $100 for cancellations made 30-15 days prior to a trip, and $200 for cancellations made 14-0 days before a trip. This policy is applicable for all three trips. If these procedures do not meet your needs, or if you would like to arrange for a separate bus trip, Student Activities will be happy to put you in touch with our transportation vendor.
Special Trips
There are also a number of specialty trips to museums, Six Flags, musicals, theaters, outdoor parks, rock-climbing, and other places of interest. Many of these trips are free for students, but for some there is a nominal ticket price. Visit the Student Activities Office to learn more about these opportunities or visit fyi.mica.edu.
MICA Evening Shuttles
The MICA Shuttle system employs a fleet of vans to transport students around campus and around town. The Bolton Hill shuttle route runs between campus buildings and to student homes in the neighborhood, as well as making a stop at Rite Aid. Another shuttle runs a route between campus, Mount Vernon, Charles Village, Resevoir Hill and Penn Station. Please review the shuttle routes to see if your residence is on the route. Copies of MICA Shuttle schedules are available at the security desk in each campus building. To request the Evening Shuttle pick-up or a walking escort, call 410-225-2245.
MICA Shopping Shuttles
A special shopping shuttle makes two trips per week to the Tower Square Mall (includes Fresh & Green Market) and the Rotunda in Hampden. Additionally, there is a Saturday shopping trip to a local farmer's market, Towson Town Center, Home Depot, Jo Ann Fabrics, and Towson Marketplace (includes Target, Walmart, Michael's, and more).

It picks up from seven colleges around the city, and takes you to many exciting attractions and stops at participating Collegetown colleges, such as: Johns Hopkins, Loyola, College of Notre Dame, Towson University and Goucher College. All times are approximate and may be affected by traffic and weather conditions. Riders are recommended to arrive five minutes early. In case of serious inclement weather, contact the Fox Security Desk at 410-225-2245. For any questions regarding the shuttle call 410-337-6494.
