What is the MICA Leadership Retreat?
The MICA Leadership Retreat is a one-day leadership development opportunity for new/emerging student leaders, as well as students interested in getting involved or furthering their leadership development. The goal of the retreat is to help students recognize, develop, and strengthen their leadership skills. It is also a great opportunity to network with other MICA students and HAVE FUN! The retreat will include workshops presented by staff and experienced student leaders as well as opportunities for participants to network and learn from one another. Topics to be addressed will include: "What is Leadership?", Leadership and Identity, Artists as Leaders & Culture Shapers, Power in Society, and much more!
When is the MICA Leadership Retreat?
The MICA Leadership Retreat is on Saturday, February 2, 2013 from 9-4:30pm in the Main Building. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. Advance registration is required because spots are limited!
Who can attend the MICA Leadership Retreat?
The Leadership Retreat is open to ALL MICA students, however, some faculty and staff have gone out of their way to nominate students they think could benefit from attending. If you are interested in becoming involved in student leadership positions like being a Residential Advisor (RA), Program Manager (PM), Orientation Leader (OL), or a member/leader of a student organization, we encourage you to attend the MICA Leadership Retreat.
