Student Health Insurance
All students attending Maryland Institute College of Art must provide proof of comparable health coverage or they will be automatically enrolled in the insurance program of the College. The plan coverage is from August to August for those students enrolling during the fall semester. Students with private coverage can waive participation in the MICA-sponsored plan with no financial penalty until September 30 by providing proof of comparable coverage. Waiver / Enrollment Instructions
1) Students need to go to the website https://www.hulseqm.com/myinsurance
2) Enter your user id and password. Your user ID is your last name and first initial. Your password is the last 5 digits of your student ID.
*** For example if John Smith, Student ID 0123456, wants to waive the insurance, his user name is SMITHJ and password is 23456 ***
3) Once logged in, you can accept or waive the plan. Simply click on the appropriate action and provide the information it asks for.
Dewar Tuition Insurance
MICA is pleased to introduce the Dewar Tuition Insurance plan. We understand that the cost incurred with an education today is substantial; usually the second largest investment to purchasing a home. Although the college provides refunds for students taking a leave of absence or withdrawal, it is limited to the first three weeks of school.
In light of this, we have partnered with A.W.G. Dewar, Inc. to offer you the Tuition Refund Plan (TRP). This plan is designed to protect your educational investment by reimbursing tuition costs should you find it necessary to leave the University for medical reasons after the term begins. This plan significantly extends and enhances MICA's published Tuition Refund Policy (Student Account Services website). This is an exceptionally low cost program that could literally save you thousands of dollars!
If you wish to subscribe to the plan, your application and payment must be submitted by the first day of classes.
• Full year - submit application and payment by the first day of classes for the fall term
• Term only - submit application and payment by the first day classes for the term
