A student who drops a course during the scheduled add/drop period, but remains enrolled in other courses, will not be charged tuition and fees for the dropped course. (Undergraduates pay the same tuition for 12-19 credit hours.)
There will be no reduction in tuition billing for any course(s) dropped after the scheduled add/drop period. If a student drops all courses, that student will be subject to cancellation or withdrawal from the school depending on the date of the dropped classes.
Students in good academic standing who are returning from an official leave of absence may file an application for readmittance through the Office of Academic Advising.
Suggested application submission dates are November 15 for spring readmittance and July 1 for fall. Students who are academically dismissed from MICA must also apply for readmission to the College.
In order to apply for readmittance, students must have no outstanding financial obligations to the College and must be current on all student loans. Official transcripts from each college or university attended since the last enrollment at MICA must be submitted.
Students applying to return after an absence of more than 3 years will be eligible for readmittance on a space-available basis and will be expected to fulfill the degree requirements of the year in which they are readmitted.
