Where do I use the MICARD Flex Account?
You can swipe your MICARD Flex Account to purchase goods and services on campus. Swipe your card for a meal at the Meyerhoff Dining Hall or at Café Doris, or when you want to pick up your coffee and muffin at Java Corner, or to have a late night snack of sushi at the Gateway Café. All your books and art supplies, as well as MICA shirts, hats, and other accessories can be purchased with your MICARD flex account at the College Store. The MICARD flex account can also be used at the MICA Print Lab where you can have digital prints and film produced. Plus, you can buy a snack at one of our many vending machines, do your laundry, and pay for photo copies at the Decker Library with your card.
How do I create a MICARD Flex Account?
Creating a MICARD flex account is easy. Simply deposit funds into your flex account through a personal payment with check, credit cards, money order, or cash. You can even transfer any remaining money from loan overage, scholarship credit or other overpayment credit into your flex account. Once funds have been deposited, your MICARD can be used to make purchases on campus. Replenishment of the flex account is easy to do. Just log onto the MICA Portal and go to ManageMyID. Once you are logged in, you can add funds, check your balance, and review your transaction history.
How can I add money to the MICARD?
Fastest method! Go to the ManageMyID page to make an online deposit (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover). The money will be transferred to your flex account instantaneously.
If you have an overpayment credit owed to you from MICA, you can email your instructions to transfer all or a portion of that credit onto your flex account. Simply email firstname.lastname@example.org. Once the request has been received, please allow up to 48 hours for the money to be transfered.
Call 410/225-2356 and speak with a Student Account team member. Provide us with your credit card information and MICA will process your payment and add the funds to your MICARD. Please allow up to 48 hours for the flex account to be credited.
Bring payment to the Student Account Services located within the Bunting Center on the second floor. You must pay by cash or check ($20 minimum) or VISA, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express ($50 minimum). We are open Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Please allow up to 4 hours for processing.
Attention: Do not mail MICA any monies intended for the flex account. All payments mailed to MICA will go into the student's main account. Instead of mailing payment intended for flex account, please use one of the methods above.

How can I check my flex account balance?
Click on the ManageMyID. This information will also be available at any cashier's register and vending location.
Will Flex money carry over semester to semester?
Flex account funds never expire. Additionally, flex account funds on the MICARD can be used year round. The funds carry over from semester-to-semester, and can be used in the summer as well. When a student graduates, withdraws, or takes a leave of absence, all funds that are in the flex account will be refunded back to the student within 30 days.
How do I close my flex account?
To close your flex account, please visit the Student Accounts located in the Bunting Center. A representative can meet with you and close your flex account and refund any unused dollars on the account. Remember, flex account money is automatically refunded when a student graduates, takes a leave of absence, or withdraws from the college.
