You must be enrolled in a class through MICA or completing an internship for credit through the Joseph Meyerhoff Center for Career Development to be eligible for the summer housing program. Exceptions for students who are working on campus to support our summer initiatives will be considered.

Summer housing is only available during the academic summer sessions. Our doors will open for summer on Wednesday, May 22 at 9am. Move in dates are timed and scheduled for the day before your specific class begins. Once the class/internship you are enrolled in ends, you must vacate your room by the following day. All undergraduate students must move out by August 9, at 5pm.
If you currently live on campus and have been accepted into summer housing, you can remain in your current room assignment until May 22nd, at which time you will switch to your summer room assignment. No one is able to remain in their current room assignments through the summer. If you are not enrolled in summer housing you must vacate your room by the day housing regularly closes. Students who live in the Commons will need to move to their summer housing assignment immediately after we close on May 12th due to the construction project. More details for those students will be emailed separately.
Housing Costs
Housing charges will be rated on a weekly basis. The housing charge is $170 per week or any part thereof. The week begins on Sunday and ends on Saturday. Each applicant who is assigned will be charged a summer housing deposit of $170. Applicants who withdraw from summer housing after Friday 5/3/2013 will forfeit this deposit fee. Charges begin on May 12 for any student who is residing on campus and waiting for the summer sessions to begin. All other students will incur charges based on the move in date.

Summer Employment Opportunities!
MICA Residence Life is looking to hire Summer Desk Assistants (SDA), Summer Facilities Assistants (SFA), and Summer Residential Advisors (SRA). You can pick up a hard copy application at any of the Residential front desks starting Tuesday, April 2, 2013. Preference will be given to those students enrolled in summer course(s) or completing an internship.
Applications for summer employment are due Monday April 22, 2013.
