LOCATION
Student Health Services for MICA students are provided at Mount Royal Medical Associates, located at 1501 W. Mount Royal Ave., just up the street from MICA. (Although you will see the big sign in front of the building, on W. Mount Royal Ave., the entrance to the building is actually in the "back" of the building, on Malster Ave., a little street that that runs parallel to W. Mount Royal Ave.)
COMING SOON FOR THIS SCHOOL YEAR
Based on student suggestions and feedback from MICA, Mt. Royal student services are changing. There is a new separate health suite under construction for MICA students. Slated to open sometime in November, the new student health suite will be open during hours that are more accessible to the MICA students based on class times and student need. There will be a dedicated staff consisting of a nurse practitioner, medical assistant, and Dr. Kathy Mathey, who has had a relationship with the MICA student population for many years.
Until the new suite is open in November, the student health services will remain on the community side of the practice. However, there is currently a separate waiting area for students.
Watch for more information on the Grand Opening coming throughout the semester.
