Artist statement
My line, Ruffascope, is a juxtaposition of new media and conservative garment traditions. I've hidden electronic and mechanical components into costumes inspired by the visual language of the french baroque and modern cabaret. I wanted to play with the advancements in textile crafts against traditions.
