During the Hunger Banquet on Jan. 21, 2009, Deunte Ford '11 portrayed a person who was homeless as part of an interactive performance piece. Banquet guests portraying members of middle- and high- income groups were willing to give Ford handouts, but would not engage her in conversation, share eating space, or welcome her into their communities.
