Blackboard is a web-based application available to all MICA faculty as a way to communicate class information via the internet. Blackboard allows you to post information to be viewed by your students, such as syllabi, assignments, readings, images, etc. The information that is posted on Blackboard is available anytime, so students can find information related to the course. The inrofmation can also be accessed from anywhere, providing there is an internet connection. Blackboard also features integrated discussion board and chat utilities, allowing teachers and students to hold online discussions. The content of these discussions/chats is automatically archived by Blackboard so that it may be revisited at a later date by members of the course.

Getting Started
To get started, please contact the Help Desk. If possible, please state the course(s) you which to teach using Blackboard, including the 5-digit class number (e.g. 14329) and course ID with section (e.g. SS-300-A) for each class.
