Forwarding Email

If you are interested in using your MICA email account as a contact, but would like to use a seperate address to receive your emails you can set up a "Rule" within your account to forward all of your emails to this address.

Mail forwarding can only be setup using Internet Explorer.  If you do not have Internet Explorer on your computer, please call or stop by the Help Desk (x.2201 on campus) and we will help you setup account forwarding.

To setup a forwarding rule for your MICA email please follow the steps below.

  • Login into your email account with Internet Explorer
  • In the lower left hand corner, above the Options menu find the menu item called Rules 
  • Click this, and then click New. You can find this in the upper left hand corner
  • This will open the Edit Rule window
  • Give your rule a name and indicate that you would like it applied to any message sent to your MICA addres
  • Finally, indicate that you would like the messaged forwarded to a different email address, and click Save and Close.

All emails sent to your MICA address will now be forwarded. We suggest that you send a test email to make sure the forwarding was set up correctly. If so, then you're all set.
