MICA's Director of Administrative Systems Elected President of the Higher Education Users Group (HEUG)
Ted Simpson, MICAs director of administrative systems, was recently elected president of the Higher Education Users Group (HEUG), an international organization that represents more than 900 institutions in 28 countries worldwide, including all of the top 20 universities in the world. Simpson has been active on the HEUG board, serving as a community builder and developing relationships with Oracle and other partners. He is viewed as an industry technology expert and advises partner companies on the future of technology within higher education. Before coming to MICA, he held positions in academic services and information technology at University of Maryland School of Law and Johns Hopkins University.

The Roving Help Desk
The MICA Help Desk will be on the move. Beginning in March, we are establishing an outreach program to get the Help Desk out into the campus to better reach students, faculty or staff.

Manage Your myMICA Login
New tools for protecting your myMICA login and resetting your password are now available. After setting up personal security questions, students, alumni and employees can reset passwords without logging in to myMICA.

Improvements to Wireless Systems in Commons and Meyerhoff
TSS is installing new wireless internet systems in Meyerhoff House and Commons to provide wireless internet access in dorm rooms and public spaces.

Fall Break 2009 Building Hours & Services
Fall Break begins this Friday evening, and there will be a few changes in services on campus. Please note the changes in Building Access and Shuttle Services. If you have a question about a service not listed here, including the availability of lab/studio techs and services, be sure and call ahead to confirm scheduled hours of operation.
