Image="campus/studio-center01.jpg" AdditionalFooter="Office of Graduate Studies-x7036" BodyCopy="&lt;p&gt;Graduate Studies serves as a major resource in the identification of activities, resources, and opportunities within the MICA community and the Baltimore.&lt;/p&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;Graduate students receive assistance with graduate student registration and extensive advising, in collaboration with the Joseph Meyerhoff Center for Career Development, for special opportunities such as Fulbright, Soros, Javits, and Jack Kent Cooke Graduate fellowships, as well as MICA Graduate Fellowships and Grant opportunities.&lt;/p&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;Additionally, the office administers an active series of MFA Visiting Artist lectures, as well as workshops and demonstrations, in partnership with the Graduate Research Lab and Wood and Metal Shops, to bring the latest digital and fabrication techniques to a graduate student's studio practice.&lt;/p&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;Graduate Student Community Forums, in partnership with Graduate Student Union, a student-elected governing body, are a regular occurrance on the Graduate Studies calendar. Graduate students are offered exclusive use of spaces designed to provide private time and space, and are given opportunities to gather for dialogue and communal exchange.&lt;/p&gt;&#xA;&lt;h4&gt;Graduate Student Resources at MICA&lt;/h4&gt;&#xA;&lt;ul&gt;&#xA;&lt;li&gt;Full time graduate students are provided individual or collaborative studios with 24/7 access while their classes are in session and during spring break periods for the duration of their residences. Low residency graduate students and live/work students located at MICA PLACE have 24/7 access to individual or collaborative studios while their classes are in session. Full-time MFA students may request to maintain studio access during the summer months between their first and second year of study with the support of their program director. Studio and graduate facility access will be limited or closed during designated college holidays, and other seasonal and break periods.&lt;/li&gt;&#xA;&lt;li&gt;&amp;nbsp;MICA's Graduate Studio Center, a 112,000 square foot facility, houses six graduate programs, an indoor atrium and outdoor plaza, 61 graduate studios, state-of-the-art digital, computer and photo labs, a fabrication workshop for use in artmaking; and programming space for low-residency summer programs.&lt;/li&gt;&#xA;&lt;li&gt;All graduate students in art education programs have access to the Hurwitz Study Center for Art Education, a facility which includes a resource room, reading library, teaching materials, and computers.&lt;/li&gt;&#xA;&lt;li&gt;Dedicated meeting spaces, seminar rooms, and exhibition/critique areas.&lt;/li&gt;&#xA;&lt;li&gt;Dedicated use of the Graduate Research Lab equipped with numerous computer stations, an electronics project room, a professional print lab, a sound studio, and a variety of video and audio equipment available for checkout along with a staff of expert users.
