Image Resources

Most of the books and journals at the Decker Library contain printed reproductions of artwork, and the Media Resources Collection has more than 200,000 slides, plus films/videos on many artists and subjects.

How to get started?

  • Use the Decker Library and Media Resources Catalog to search for books, films/videos, images and other materials on specific artists or subjects. Log-in is required for off-campus access.
  • Use the Research Databases to find specific artworks reproduced within journals: launch the advanced search screen and type an artist's name into one box and an artwork title into another.

Other resources for finding images include image databases, Internet sites including public domain sources which are free of copyright restrictions, and printed indexes to images in books and magazines. Use the links here to explore!
